Karen is a consultant and research policy adviser, specialising in research culture and research assessment. She worked on the Royal Society’s research culture programme in 2018 and led the development of the Resumé for Researchers, which was adopted in the UK Government’s R&D People and Culture Strategy.
Karen was the penholder for drafting the European Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment in 2022. She is Vice-Chair of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), and a EuroScience Governing Board Member.
Ben is a strategist and advocate in research policy, specialising in research culture and funding systems. He was the architect of the Wellcome Trust’s Reimagine Research community engagement programme, and external advisor to the development of the UK Government’s R&D People and Culture Strategy.
